Del Castillo

Del Castillo is a hard-working and exceptionally talented group out of Austin that has been perfecting its craft, a heady and emotive fusion of Latin rock, pop-rock, blues and various aspects of world music for almost 20 years now. They’ve played all over the country, touring with big acts like Los Lobos and Ozomatli (acts with whom the band’s sound is well-matched) and on seemingly endless tours of its own. Needless to say – as is often the case with a sound that can, in the hands of the wrong producer, skew so easily towards an adult contemporary no man’s land – Del Castillo is best appreciated playing live, where punch and passion and a certain rootsy electricity are the happy results of long hours on the stage.
