Following the mass shooting at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs on Sunday, politicians took to social media to send their thoughts and prayers to those affected by the tragedy. While their sentiment is appreciated, it does nothing to prevent these senseless shootings from happening.
According to
OpenSecrets.org, this is how much these politicians accepted from the National Rifle Association during the last election cycle in 2016. Last year, Texas lawmakers accepted a total of at least $838,215 from the NRA.
