Everything You Need to Know About the 2019 San Antonio Music Showcase

The seventh annual San Antonio Music Showcase celebrates the city’s thriving local music scene on Saturday, September 28. For one unforgettable night, 35+ bands and DJs perform on 10 stages in one central San Antonio neighborhood, representing the city’s musical talent across multiple genres. Plus, specials and ambassadors from Pacifico, Deep Eddy Vodka and Austin Eastciders, with Peace of Mind Wellness CBD-infused cocktails, pedicabs and other surprises lighting up the St. Mary's Strip.

Get your fill of indie rock during this year’s music event. Noise Quota (pictured) will take the stage first at 10 p.m. with Baldemar following at 11 p.m. and Survival Guide at midnight. Teens and other young folks are in luck, as the evening’s festivities are open to those under 21.

The Mix

Music lovers 21 and up can score admission to the night’s festivities, with Crowns x Coffins taking the stage at 10 p.m. Mockingbird Express will follow at 11 p.m. and The Grasshopper Lies Heavy (pictured) at midnight. In case you couldn’t tell, it’s all about rock here for this year’s showcase. This venue is 21+ only.

Little Death

The St. Mary’s Strip wine bar will offer major singer-songwriter vibes. Very Old Morris will kick off the evening at 10 p.m., with Chris Maddin at 11 and Demitasse (pictured) at midnight.

Lonesome Rose

Country and conjunto vibes will be readily available at Lonesome Rose. Michael J and the Foxes take the stage at 10 p.m., the Sean Castillo Trio at 11 and the legendary Santiago Jimenez (shown here) at midnight.

La Botanica

Indie electronica fans will want to head to La Botanica at some point during the evening. Music writer Chris Conde will kick off the evening at 10 p.m., followed by Pink Leche at 10:45, Alyson Alonzo (shown above) at 11:15 and Yyynot at 12:30 a.m. This venue is all ages until 11 p.m., after which it will only be 21+.

Limelight

Hip-hop heads will want to post up at Limelight for the night. MadONe kicks off the party at 10 p.m., with Apaso (pictured here) at 11 and REL of Chisme at midnight.

Ventura

Metal and noise fans who are 21 and up can swing by for a night of badass tunes. At 10 p.m., Covina kicks off the party, with Ammo for My Arsenal at 10:45, Athanatos at 11:15 and Bitforce at 12:30 a.m.

Rumble

For beatmaker sounds, DJ JJ Lopez will take over Rumble for the evening with his Soul Spot from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. with short 15-minute breaks.

Paper Tiger

Over on the small stage, folks of all ages can catch punk and garage tunes. At 10 p.m., Whatever? will kick off the evening, followed by The Wizard (shown here) at 11:15 and Midnight Cleaners at 12:30 a.m.

Amp Room

Stop by this music-heavy joint for your fill of goth and industrial tunes. Shadow Fashion (pictured) kicks off the evening at 10 p.m., followed by SʞIN at 11:15 p.m. and Filthy at 12:30. This venue is 21+, so be prepared to prove your age.
