Everything You Need to Know About This Year's San Antonio Music Showcase

The San Antonio Music Showcase is almost here, y'all! That's when more than a dozen venues host more than 60 local bands and artists across the Alamo City. Sound dope? Good, 'cause we've broken down all the acts and where. Be sure to snag a $10 wristband that grants you access to ALL of the venues.

Paper Tiger (courtyard)

All are welcome to head out to the courtyard for the beatmaker sets all night. Tunes will be brought to you by JKNODIC (pictured), Arodbeats, and Jonah Conrad.

La Botanica

If you wanna get down, head over to La Botanica for some dance and electronica. Tunes will be brought to you by Lightwithin, Voodoo Boogaloo (pictured), and Rivers Want. La Botanica will be all ages until 11 p.m. and 21+ after that time.

Amp Room

Fans of darkwave, goth and industrial can head over to Amp Room at some point during the night. Here you’ll be able to catch PHANTOM, Spell 27 (pictured), and Shadow Fashion. A warning to younger fans: this venue will be 21+ only for the night.

The Mix

Country lovers should definitely set up at The Mix at some point during the night. Michael J. & The Foxes (pictured), Marcy Grace, and Band of Bandits are set to make you swoon if y’all are 21+.

Paper Tiger (main room)

Music lovers of all ages can head inside Paper Tiger for Latin alternative and cumbia tunes. This sick lineup includes Pochos Chidos, Los Nahuatlatos (pictured), and Grupo Frackaso.

Cullum’s Attagirl

Lovers of singer-songwriter vibes can swing by to enjoy some fresh tunes that’ll have you jammin’ all night long. Set to take the stage are Rainbow Chilton, George Garza Jr., and Jordan Moonz (pictured). You’re in luck kiddos, this venue is all-ages.

Channel your inner hipster (jokes) and get lost in some indie vibes for the night. Optic Arrest, Vintage Pictures (pictured) , and We Leave at Midnight are gearing up to capture your attention for the night, so long as you’re 21+.

Jandro’s (indoor)

Venture inside Jandro’s and you’ll be able to jam out to surf, garage and psych tunes as long as you’re 21+. Set to take the stage are Flower Jesus Quartet, Junkie, and Saigon Sinners (pictured).

True to its vibes, Social Spot will be hosting the alt-rock lineup for the night. Just be 21+ and you’ll get to see Fox Motel, Razor Doves, and Celestial Descent (pictured).

If you’ve got a love for punk, your night won’t be complete without hitting up Hi-Tones (as long as you’re 21+). Be sure to check out Viet-Ruse, No Time and Knockin' Chucks (pictured). For an extra treat, you can catch Piñata Protest, who will feature an acoustic duo.

Chill and enjoy the best of both worlds as pop-rock takes over Ventura for the night (and welcomes those 21+). This lineup includes Bad Heart, The Please Help (pictured), and Nova Lux.

Head on upstairs to get down (get it?) to some Tejano and Conjunto goodness. While there’s only two acts, 21+ music lovers won’t be disappointed when Santiago Jimenez Jr. takes the stage, followed by LA 45 (pictured).

The Gallery Club

The former Hardbodies (RIP) is now The Gallery Club, and they’re set to host the hip-hop lineup for the night (21+ only, y’all). Be sure to catch SpyMC (pictured), MAD-ONE, Chris Conde (full disclosure: he writes for the Current), and The Kid Bootz.
