We love barbacoa, even though we're not always sure what's in it. But one San Antonio woman said the taco she got this past weekend crossed a red (or maybe pink) line.

In a Facebook post, Melissa Mermea said she returned a barbacoa taco purchased at Mama Margie's on Culebra because it contained a rosy colored press-on nail.

"Halfway, I look down and I see some hairs sticking out of my taco," Mermea wrote in the post. "As I open it up, I pull the hair, and wrapped around the hair was a press-on nail."

In a statement to News 4, which first reported the incident, Mama Margie's partner Susan O'Brien said it's looking into the complaint.

"We take food safety very seriously at Mama Margie's and have strict policies against using fake nails and nail polish," O'Brien said. We are continuing to investigate the matter."

Even so, that may not be enough to placate Mermea, who wrote that after she complained to the restaurant's manager, he insinuated that she may have planted the nail.

"First of all, I don’t wear press on nails and here's a picture of my nails and color," she posted on Facebook, along with a shot of her own nails, painted red and glittering gold.
