Sandra Cisneros may have moved out of San Antonio, but we will claim her for eternity. Her former King William home is up for sale, and we're definitely wishing we had the big bucks to move in.
The $1.15 million home is officially on the market, though photos from the Zillow listing reveal it looks nothing like when Cisneros sold the home in 2015 for $995,000. Then, it was a three bedroom, one bathroom home. The listing says the 735 East Guenther Street home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Some might remember the controversy that Cisneros faced when she painted the home a "periwinkle purple" back in the '90s. Her King William neighbors complained the color was inconsistent "with the character of the historic neighborhood." But really, what's more colorful than King William during Fiesta?
Anyway, she eventually painted the exterior a "rosa Mexicana," but kept the inside full of color. Almost a decade before selling the home, Cisneros added onto the home to serve as a studio.
