Saturday, November 9: Bring your appetite. Tellez Tamales & Barbacoa will team up with the SA Food Bank for a tamal-eating contest. Ten contestants will be chosen to compete and the victor will receive a Christmas Party Pack of tamales (as if you’ll want to eat tamales ever again). Saturday, November 9: Party for a great cause with some of the Hill Country’s best winemakers at the Witte Museum. Tango of the Vines will benefit the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation to help fund research and raise awareness of this maternal-health complication. The festival will feature wines from Pedernales Cellars, Fiesta Winery and Singing Water Vineyards, as well as eats and treats from Urban Taco, TBA, The County Line, Hacienda de los Barrios, Liberty Bar, Zedric’s, Brindles and more. $50 general admission, $75 VIP, 6:30-10:30pm, 3801 Broadway, (210) 362-0286, afesupport.org
