The Boerne Stage Road area has added a brand new bar as of this week. Frank and Lori Hakspiel, the minds behind Fralo's Art of Pizza, are hoping to turn
Bar 301 into a music venue complete with a piano bar, wine and food.
A grand opening is slated for Wednesday, October 18, but the bar has been hosting small get-togethers this week and is currently open to the public.
"I've been working on this for a long time now," said Frand over the phone on Thursday. "We have a small stage and it's perfectly built for the right acoustics."
The owner also shared the bar will feature a large patio, VIP room and an island bar, which will make the space versatile enough for meetings and parties alike.
On the food side, Bar 301 will use Fralo's dough for flatbreads made in their wood-burning oven, and will also feature meat and cheese plates, Marcona almonds toasted in-house, crispy quail legs and a few salads. Prices will range from $6 to $14. Bar 301 will also carry a full bar with a list of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as cocktails.
Starting next week, they'll open 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 4 to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Hours may change as needed.
