Painter Brenda Kingery (Chickasaw Nation), describes the formation and early years of Santa Fe’s Institute of American Indian Arts, an institution dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Native Arts. She will also highlight works in the collection from some of the Institute’s most famous teachers and graduates, including Allan Houser.
