Feeling the itch for some good-natured bickering over Settlers of Catan? Here’s your chance that also supports a worthy cause.

The Graduate Student Association of the UT Health Science Center San Antonio will host a game night fundraiser for the San Antonio Battered Women’s and Children’s Shelter on Tuesday, October 13. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

If Settlers isn’t your thing, no worries; sets of Apples to Apples, Giant Jenga, Munchkin, Monopoly and others will be available to play.

The family-friendly event will take place at the Magic Beans Gaming Cafe (15139 Bulverde Road, 210-455-3732) from 6 to 10 p.m.

The suggested donation is $5 to $10, or bring one of the following items to donate:

-Women’s undergarments

-Baby items (diapers, wipes, bottles, baby shampoo, etc.)

-Personal hygiene supplies

-Clothing (particularly underwear for women and children)

-Linens

Click here for additional information on needed items for the shelter. RSVP for the game night at the event’s Facebook page.
