Troyal Garth Brooks, or just "Garth" to his millions of fans, will be bringing his 2016 tour to the Alamo City on July 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event, Brooks' first show in SA in 18 years, are priced at $74.98 for every seat in the house and will go on sale Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m. The tour, entitled "The Garth Brooks World Tour," will also feature his wife and fellow country artist Trisha Yearwood. Tickets will only be available through or by calling Ticketmaster Express at (866) 448-7849 or (800) 745-3000. There is an eight ticket limit for each purchase.

Brooks' fame, spurred on by his rowdy live shows and impressive string of hits, is surpassed by few. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native has sold more records than Elvis Presley, is second only to The Beatles in international sales and is registered by the Recording Industry Association of America as the" best-selling solo albums artist in the U.S.," with a remarkable 136 million albums sold domestically. That's quite the resume.

After reaching catastrophic heights in the '90s, Brooks, facing public scrutiny for the divorce of his first wife and marriage to Yearwood – country fans love to talk, don't they, y'all? – retreated from the spotlight. However, on October 21, 2012, Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and in September 2014 he returned to the stage with Yearwood as his touring partner after the release of his ninth studio album, Man Against Machine.

Rally the troops, man the phones, do what you gotta do to get tickets for the alter-ego of Chris Gaines (don't tell me you've forgotten the soul-patched rocker!) because this mother is gonna sell out quick! Here's hoping Brooks brings his trademark enthusiasm that has made his live shows quite the sight to behold – even if your mom drags you along as her date.
