The Spurs Coyote leads the pack, as for as Alamo City mascots go.
Tired of the cubicle or late-night shifts at a gas station?

In our next installment of an ongoing blog where we scan local job postings to find out of the ordinary, interesting and fun jobs, we came across one position all Alamo City residents are familiar with: team mascots.

Spurs Sports & Entertainment is seeking a franchise mascot
to perform at all San Antonio Stars and Austin Spurs games. During performances, whoever is hired should be prepared to be The Coyote, The Fox, T-Bone, Da Bull or any other costume work needed.

From the posting:

It is the Franchise Mascot’s responsibility to insure that all administrative elements of the mascot program are in working order and being used to the best of their ability. The position includes all teams within the Spurs Sports & Entertainment organization including but not limited to appearances, game operations, and general administration. The position will be challenged to conceptualize new skits as well as other innovative ideas to enhance game presentation. The candidate should continually keep up with current entertainment industry trends and have basic knowledge and aspirations of working in video production. The candidate should be a highly-motivated, self-sufficient person that has an acute attention to detail and works well with deadlines.

So if you've just had enough of the day shift and are ready for something completely different, or if you just love the Spurs and the Stars, a life of performance on the court could be a slam dunk.
