Though crepes have been a part of
Chocollazo's offerings since last November, the small chocolatier ramped up their offerings this past Saturday with a new menu of nine crepes that'll satiate just about any appetite.
Prices for the crepes vary. There's the $2.99 Keep It Simple crepe with butter and cinnamon sugar; the Hella Nutella, which starts at $4.99, available with fruit add-ons for an extra charge.
"We did away with the choose-your-own type of menu and served up nine new crepes that range from classic to basically dessert in a crepe," Mary Collazo, the shop's owner and mastermind said.
The rest of the offerings include a caramel pie crepe with sautéed apples, cinnamon, candied pecans and house-made caramel ($7.99); blueberry danish with macerated blueberries, cream cheese, house-made oatmeal streusel and cinnamon sugar ($7.99); peaches and cream with flambéed peaches, honey, Honeycomb cereal and whipped cream ($7.99); Holy Cannoli with cannoli cream, chocolate chips, pistachios, and melted chocolate ($7.99); The Elvis with peanut butter, bananas and bacon ($7.99); and finally, a Gimme S'more with house-made marshmallow fluff, melted chocolate, and Teddy Grahams nestled in a chocolate crepe ($6.99).
Crepes are served from 10 to 2 p.m. Saturday mornings.
