Girls Rock Camp Benefit Show

Local chicana punk (s)heroes Fea, the cumbia thrashers behind Grupo Frackoso, and groove machine JJ Lopez want San Anto’s girls to rock just as hard as they do. Which is why their benefit show at Bang Bang Bar this week seeks to raise not only cash but also instruments and gear (guitars, amps, strings, straps, etc.) for San Antonio’s Girls Rock Camp, which aims to offer a safe space for “girls, genderfluid/non-binary, and trans youth ages 11-14” to build their voice, talents and confidence. Not only will you get to hear tunes from some of San Antonio’s finest, homegrown musical talent, you’ll be helping empower some of the city’s future badass roqueras.
