Founded in Cali, Colombia, which I only know of because of Narcos, Grupo Niche is a Salsa band that has been making waves in the Latin music scene since the late ’70s. After a few spins through their catalog, it’s obvious why these guys are regarded as one of the best groups to come out of Colombia. Their music will get you hype even if you don’t want to be hype.

And even if you don’t get down with a lot of Latin music (I mean, like what you like, but if you’re reading this, chances are you live in South Texas), you can still appreciate the hip-shaking vibes from their fire cumbias. Pro tip: peep their track “La Canoa Rancha.”

$40-$60, Fri March 16, 7pm, The Aztec Theatre, 104 N. St. Mary’s St(210) 812-4355, theaztectheatre.com.
