Presented by the Dialogue Institute of the Southwest, the Roma people, also known as Gypsies, are best known for their music and their nomadic lifestyle. This evening's program will show their rich and varied musical styles through video clips of them from India, across Europe and North Africa, all the way to Spain. Discussion will also be about their history, culture and lifestyle in various countries and the difficulties they often face in interacting with their neighbors. Presented by Aaron Michael, director of the Raindrop Music Ensemble, who has played with Gypsy bands in Europe and the USA.
