Harvey is Now a Category 4 Hurricane

As of 6 p.m. Friday afternoon Harvey upgraded to a category 4 hurricane with winds reaching 130 mph and wind gusts reaching 155 mph.

The hurricane reached category 3 early this afternoon as it moved closer to the Texas coast. According to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center, the storm is currently about 45 miles east of Corpus Christi, and 50 miles south south-west of Port O'Connor.
