Local hospitals caring for victims of the Sutherland Springs shootings are asking for blood donors. With at least 20 people suffering injuries, these San Antonio blood banks need all the help they can get in this dire time.

"The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center has sent 200 units to hospitals treating the injured — including Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, the San Antonio Military Medical Center trauma center and to University Hospital," said SA2020 on Twitter. "STBTC is asking anyone with O+, O- blood or those willing to give platelets to donate, as the supply — which is needed most during traumas — is low."

Here's where you can donate:

Any South Texas Blood and Tissue Center donor room or mobile blood drive throughout South Texas. Find a location at or call (210) 731-5590.

University Hospital
4502 Medical Drive, Rio Tower 3rd floor. Blood drive starts Monday, 8am. Call (210) 358-2812 to schedule an appointment.

For military members:
