Huzzah! Dignowity Meats Is Opening For Dinner

You'll want to head to the East Side for dinner tomorrow and from here on out as Dignowity Meats (1701 E. Houston St., 210-462-1496) kicks off their diner menu starting Wednesday, December 9.

According to co-owner Andrew Samia, the lunch favorite joint will start evening hours from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday with a dinner menu of smoked meats by the pound (Kansas City-style brisket burned ends, pulled pork and St. Louis ribs); buttermilk fried chicken quarters; sides such as their mac 'n' cheese, corn bake and apple slaw; and snacks (my fave!) of loaded baked potatoes and Dignowity Pie, a Frito Pie that's topped with brisket burnt ends and mac — are you drooling yet?

Lunch service will continue to run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
