Inkstravaganza
Chartered as a nonprofit in 1997, Gemini Ink reaches the community through a variety of programs, including Dramatic Readers Theater, Writers in Communities and the Book Plática Series. Billed as a “coming-of-age party,” the literary art center’s 21st anniversary Insktravaganza celebrates the work of founder Nan Cuba (above), whose debut novel Body and Bread was selected as an Oprah Book Club pick in 2013. Emceed by Dr. Coleen Grissom, the fundraiser features “Nan Cuba Libre” cocktails, catering by Page Barteau, a reading by the honoree, art for sale from Franco Mondini-Ruiz and music by George Prado.
