James Beard Award Winner Visits Lüke December 10

The Visiting Chef Dinner Series at Lüke San Antonio (125 E. Houston St., 210-227-5853) will end the year with a bang as James Beard Award winner Alon Shaya closes out the first-ever string of dinners for 2015 on Thursday, December 10 at 7 p.m. 

The chef-partner at Domenica, PIZZA Domenica and lauded Shaya, will serve five Hanukkah-inspired courses with the help of chef John Russ and his staff. The menu includes crispy potato latkes and spreads, apple salad, wild mushroom soup with smoked marrow butter and truffle crostini, veal brisket schnitzel and sufganyot, or Hanukkah donuts with black tahini gelato.

Since opening in New Orleans this February, Shaya, a modern Israeli restaurant, has been named Best Restaurant in America by Esquire, named one of the 50 best restaurants in the U.S. by Bon Apetit, while chef landed on Southern LIving's "50 People Changing the South."
