Jersey Boys

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons carved a niche in the American consciousness when they broke onto the scene in the 1960s. Even those of us who live under a rock can’t help but be familiar with the beloved hits “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” That being said, until Jersey Boys premiered on Broadway in 2005, not much was widely known about the men behind the band, and for good reason – public knowledge of the band members’ spotty history (which included jail time) and ongoing financial issues would have only harmed their careers. Yet, with the cooperation of the surviving members of the group, writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice used The Four Seasons’ greatest hits to weave the band’s story into a Tony Award-winning musical. The touring production stops off in San Antonio this week, and is well worth a scoot over to the Majestic for a night of nostalgia and drama.

This unassuming yet bright-yellow building houses well-filled breakfast tacos made with handmade tortillas. Crowd pleasers include the barbacoa and bean and cheese tacos, but with such an expansive menu, it’s hard to play favorites here.
