Featuring paintings by Joe Lopez, this Gallery 4 exhibition is curated by Bill FitzGibbons. Focusing on Chicano culture, Dia De Los Muertos and Gallos as subject matter for his work, Lopez hopes for his work to evoke emotional compassion for the Chicano working class. He is best know for his "El Gallo" paintings, a subject Lopez is fascinated with as a symbol for strength, beauty and fighting spirit in Chicano culture.
