Craving a chicken sandwich? If you don't mind looking a bit silly, participating in Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A might be something to consider.

On Friday, July 12, the restaurant chain is encouraging people to “eat mor chikin” by offering a free combo meal to anyone “fully dressed as a cow.” According to the company's website, this means coming decked out "head to hoof" in proper bovine attire.

For those who need a little help getting started, a free Cow Starter Kit is available online. Particularly inspired costumes submitted through Chick-fil-A's iPhone app will earn a chance to win prizes across three separate categories.

If the thought of dressing up in a cow costume puts you off, don't fret. Customers who show up with just a cow accessory or “partial attire” will still be awarded one free entrée.
