A six day presentation of beautiful early European hand tools will be on display from November 3rd through November 10th in ‘Sue’s Studio’ at the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center. Religious symbols, punch carving and incised carving give these tools a very personal appeal not only to their creator but also to the observer. The shape or form of many of these tools has symbolic relevance, often mythological or religious but sometimes simply whimsical and humorous. The tools on display range from the late Bronze Age, the Roman Era, the Viking Period, and the Middle Ages. Many of the tools, except for the most rare and fragile ones, can be touched and handled by visitors with Jim Goodson available for questions.
