A Kerrville man is accused of striking his six-month-old daughter in the face. On Friday night, authorities grew suspicious when the child was admitted to University Hospital with damages to her skull and face.

When questioned, 20-year-old father Joseph Bayliss told authorities with the Kerr County Sheriff's Office that he was frustrated because the baby "would not stop screaming," according to a press release. During the investigation it was determined he caused his daughter's injuries.

Bayliss is being held in Kerr County Jail on a $35,000 bond. Previously, he has faced charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, assault and has several traffic violations.
