La Cantera Bar Pairs Girl Scout Cookies with Craft Beer Flight

  • The General Public (San Antonio) / Facebook
The General Public is tailoring to those who can't help but buy Girl Scout cookies by the dozen (translation: everyone, ever) and is offering craft beer flights to accompany select signature cookies.

Now through the end of the month, the La Cantera bar & restaurant will serve four cookies paired with four brews (from Firestone Walker Brewing) for just $10.

The S'mores® cookie can be washed down with Nitro Merlin Milk Stout, a dark roast that complements the creamy chocolate and marshmallow filling of the cookie. Union Jack is the drink of choice for the shortbread. The pineapple, citrus and piney aromas and the dry hop grapefruit and tangerine flavors match well with the bready cookie.

Meanwhile, the ultra-sweet Caramel deLites can be balanced out with the subtly sweet Wookus black rye. Lastly, the tangy lemon-icing-topped shortbread cookies (Lemonades) are balanced out by the light Pivo Hoppy Pils.

If you can't say no to Girl Scout Cookies and love yourself some craft beer, make sure to visit The General Public before this deal goes away.
