“Las Estrellas de Ayer- Las Tesoros de Hoy” Exhibit.
When: Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Continues through March 26 2016
The exhibit will honor Las Tesoros de San Antonio; which, is comprised of four women who were individually renowned vocalists in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. The women of Las Tesoros are Rita Vidaurri, Beatriz Llamas, the late Perla Tapatía and Blanca Rodriguez – four strong mujeres who helped build the foundation for San Antonio’s rich musical cultura. Photos and memorabilia, detailing the mujeres’ experiences as Mexicanas or Mexicana-Americanas performing in the music industry, are available to the public starting February 7 through March 26. Exhibit hours are Monday – Friday 10 AM- 7 PM.
