On Saturday, February 5, from 11am-1:30 pm, Paesano's Restaurant Group & Bakery Pastry Chef Jenny Mattingsley will share the how-to of her favorite "comfort desserts" at the Central Market Cooking School, 4821 Broadway. Learn to create pain au chocolate de noix (chocolate & hazelnut croissants); pecan sticky buns; white chocolate cheesecake; winter fruit cobblers; and bread pudding with brandy soaked raisins & vanilla-lemon sauce. $40.
Join Central Market School Chef Elizabeth Leibold Wednesday, February 9 from 6:30-9pm for a class on creating Asian wraps and rolls. Work with a variety of spring-roll wrappers and fill them with vegetable, seafood, and meat. Menu includes vegetarian spring rolls; chicken won tons: pot sticker variations with style; shrimp summer rolls; and a variety of dipping sauces. $45.
Other Central Market cooking classes include "Learn [email protected] Lunch: Soup's On!" on February 3 from noon-1 pm, ($20) and "Chiles & Chocolate with Francesca's at Sunset" on February 8 from 6:30-9pm, ($55).
