Lemuria

In the tradition of Superchunk and The Breeders, Lemuria spins alt-indie records with an ear for brain-imprinting catchiness—just try and get the xylophone counterpoint and obliged hook of “Wise People” out of your head. Since 2004, the Buffalo trio has pumped out three albums of delightfully simple and surprisingly heavy guitar rock, floated by the melodies of singer Sheena Ozzella. Signed to the hardcore label Bridge Nine, Lemuria brings a little maturity and positivity to the Boston-based imprint. Lemuria’s stop in SA will serve as the release of the third issue of Turnstile Comix, a series by SA artists Mitch Clem and Nation of Amanda. Depicting a true road story from Lemuria, this Turnstile edition features a seven-inch from the trio. Also on the bill is emo revivalist Evan Thomas Weiss (aka Into It. Over It.), helping to preserve nasally pop punk for the next generation. With Capitalist Kids, Troothless, Jonah Vin.

Sinya on Lone Man Creek in Wimberley
“Absolutely perfect weekend getaway! We were worried that it might be too hot inside the tent, as both my husband and I love our room cold, but it was perfect around 70 degrees…especially in the summer. Bed was very comfortable and you could just sink in and sleep. I slept so deeply. It is a beautiful, serene place to stay and I could not recommend it more!” - Yelper Larissa I
