Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Other Acts You Missed at Mala Luna Music Festival

Thousands of San Antonio showed up to Nelson Wolff Stadium this weekend to catch a mixture of EDM and R&B acts as well as veteran and up-and-coming hip-hop artists. This year’s Mala Luna Fest proved that 2016’s inaugural success wasn’t just beginners luck for Scoremore (the folks that put on the festival), rather, a telling indication that San Antonio is ready for more artists from these genres, and even more opportunities to be entertained by them in a festival setting.

Leaving the University of Southern Mississippi as an aspiring computer engineer to drop out and write raps like “I’m Tryna Fuck” and “I’m A Nasty Hoe,” trap/cloud rapper Ugly God set’s himself apart from other folks in his genre with his unique voice and levity – a breath of fresh air from a new wave up and comers that take themselves very seriously.
