Reports have been emerging that Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has committed suicide.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ, who broke the story earlier this afternoon, that the singer hanged himself at a residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. Bennington’s body was discovered just before 9 a.m. Thursday, July 20.
Linkin Park, which rose to fame in the early aughts with their debut release Hybrid Theory, were scheduled to play the AT&T Center on August 23 with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. While there still has been no information on how Bennington’s death will impact their tour, it’s probably safe to assume that the rest of the tour dates will be affected by the singer's death.
