Little Mazarn & Aisha Burns

When: Sat., June 9, 8:30-11 p.m. 2018
Price: Free
Little Mazarn writes the kind of music that hits you like a soft cloud or a bunch of falling feathers. Light and ethereal, the music incorporates single, reverberating banjo notes, violins and other folk instruments that envelop listeners in indie folk whispers. Born Lindsey Verril, her project sounds like it could appear on a playlist with artists such as Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens, Joanna Newsom and Mirah. Also on the bill is Aisha Burns, a singer-songwriter folk artist whose voice might be one of the most unique in the entire genre. Round, airy, yet full, without being too overpowering, Burns’ vocals float over her melancholy folk tunes like soft light reflecting off a creek bed. Yes, it’s that chill.
