Renowned flautist Angela Jones-Reus revisits the SOLI Chamber Ensemble after a three-year absence to usher in the group's 2016-17 season. Jones-Reus is currently a professor of flute at the prestigious Hugh Hodgson School of Music that belongs to the University of Georgia. The program will also feature the world premiere of William Thomas McKinley's final work. The famed American composer passed away in the spring of last year while composing an original piece for SOLI's upcoming 2017-18 season. Purveyors of everything classical should arrive to the recital hall a half hour before the concert begins for an enlightening talk with the musicians themselves. 7:30pm, $10-25, Ruth Taylor Recital Hall, Trinity University, 1 Trinity Place
