Man Arrested After Making Threat On Bexar County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page

  • Bexar County Sheriff's Office
While Facebook posts are often filled with hateful, but harmless comments, Jason Daniel Flores' disturbing comment on the Bexar County Sheriff's Office page led to his arrest on Sunday.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KSAT, Flores wrote, "Have fun while you can. Because when I get off probation, half of your department is going to be killed with guns scavenged at the mission site."

The comment and post were later deleted, but the sheriff's office decided to take action. By scoping out Flores' Facebook profile, investigators were able to match his profile photo to a previous mugshot (he was on probation for aggravated robbery) and his personal information to his criminal record.

KSAT reports that since Flores' arrest, he's been charged with making a terrorist threat to a public servant, a Class A misdemeanor. He could serve a maximum one-year jail sentence and pay a $4,000 fine if convicted.
