There's 10 minutes left in the second quarter of the Spurs visit to Philadelphia when Marco Belinelli goes the opposite way on a pick from Jeff Ayres. Belinelli, not known for such monstrous posterizing, gets up and jams in the face of forward Henry Sims.

The carve-left-slam-right move was the highlight of Belinelli's night, scoring a total of 11 points and seven boards against the winless Sixers. With 17 straight losses to open the season, the Sixers are behind only the 2009 Nets for opening losses (18), a contest they hope not to win.

After the game, Gregg Popovich gave props to Philadelphia and coach Brett Brown, who previously served under Pop on the Spurs staff. “I’ve seen lots of teams, at every level, just give in and give up," Popovich told Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News. "These guys came at us with everything.”

Meanwhile, the Spurs are soaring on an eight game winning streak, bringing the momentum to Brooklyn tomorrow against the 6-9 Nets.
