Masskrugstemmen Competition at Krause’s Café

Starting Friday, June 2nd, Krause’s Café will host “official” Masskrugstemmen Competitions every Friday until July 14th. Masskrugstemmen, aka bier stein holding, is an age-old Bavarian strongman/strongwoman competition where each person holds a liter of German beer, by the handle, straight out in front of their body for as long as they can. The last person still holding their liter of beer, wins. The cost to enter the competition is $20. For the $20 entry fee, contestants receive their choice of Hofbrau beer and the liter stein to take home. Win or lose, contestants get to keep the stein.
