PechaKucha announced who would present at its latest event.
PechaKucha Night San Antonio — an evening that brings together interesting and passionate folks to present 20 slides, each one lasting 20 seconds — announced presenters for its latest installment on Tuesday, December 1 at the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St.).
In partnership with SA2020, the latest edition of "chit chat" (PechaKucha's Japanese translation) will feature Mayor Ivy Taylor and seven other "super engaged community members who are working to drive action in our community."
Here's the full lineup:
-Mayor Ivy Taylor
-Laurie Ann Guerrero, poet laureate of San Antonio
-Douglas Melnick, chief sustainability officer for the City of San Antonio
-Kylie Helterbrand, member of the class of 2020
-Steve McHugh, chef and owner of Cured
-Jody Newman, chief friend of The Friendly Spot
-Tony Leverett, director of the East Side Promise Neighborhood
-David Heard, co-creator of Tech Bloc
Doors open at 6 p.m. for a pre-show happy hour. A $5 donation gets you in the door (proceeds benefit SA2020). Small bites from a variety of local eateries will be available until the show starts at 7:30, with an after party at The Last Word at 10:30. Purchase tickets in advance
