Robert Child (Gettysburg: Three Days of Destiny, Gettysburg: The Boys in Blue and Gray) wrote, directed and produced this account of “the “bloodiest day in American history.” The 57-minute film tells of the 1862 standoff between then-President Abraham Lincoln and General Robert E. Lee that resulted in almost twice as many deaths as did the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and the Spanish-American War combined. The film screens on KLRN channel 9 at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 28, and again at 3 a.m. Wednesday, May 31. It also airs on KLRN DT 9.2 (Time Warner Digital Channel 92) at 3 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday, May 29; 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30; and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3.
