National Museum of the Pacific War Marks Day of Remembrance for Japanese-American Internment with Free All-Day Program
When: Sat., Feb. 23, 9:45 a.m.-4 p.m. 2019
Guests will have the opportunity to connect with Japanese American culture, including workshops on making origami, using chopsticks and writing in calligraphy. Special programs will be held throughout the day, including two film screenings directed and produced by Lucy Ostrander and a live performance of Taiko, an ancient Japanese form of percussion by performer Austin Taiko.
