In this program guests will learn about the natural history and identification of some of the major groups of native bees in Texas, to include bumble bees, sweat bees, leaf cutter bees, and more. In addition, attendees will be introduced to plants and practices that will aid in the conservation of these vital pollinators. The presenter Jessica Beckham, PhD. is a Bumblebee Specialist and currently a Lecturer II, in the Department of Environmental Science and Ecology, at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
