Nature's Voices

SOLI, San Antonio’s award winning contemporary music ensemble, opens its 26th season with the World Premiere of a new work from San Antonio composer Yvonne Freckmann. This nature-based program will also include a work for amplified cactus (yes, cactus) by composer Steven Snowden, and a work that chronicles the journey of the mighty Colorado River by composer and DJ Mason Bates. The Monday, October 14 concert will take place at Jazz, TX followed by a performance at Trinity University's Ruth Taylor Recital Hall on Tuesday, October 15.

Fiesta favorite chicken-on-a-stick is basically the supreme food booth snack from all of Fiesta. San Antonians look forward to eating it all year, and usually commemorate their first chicken-on-a-stick of the season with a selfie.
