Science bros and space nerds get amped! Neil deGrasse Tyson is returning once again to San Antonio to grace us with his majestic brain. The interstellar  event will take place at the Tobin Center on January 19, 2017. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m.

Tyson is one of the few astrophysicists that are blessed with having a personality, or a personality that people actually enjoy. Very few scientists make a splash in the mainstream media (others being Carl Sagan, Bill Nye and Steven Hawking) but along with being the new host of Cosmos, Tyson has made use of the popular social media platform Twitter to skyrocket his popularity among mainstream audiences. With his newfound celebrity, Tyson has helped shed light on important scientific topics, particularly with folks that don't have a lifetime subscription to Popular Mechanics.

Last June, Tyson's Tobin Center talk ranged from current issues and breakthroughs in science to pop culture. Tickets are priced from $76.50 to $89.50. For those interested in a meet and greet with the man himself, an autographed poster and premium seating, VIP ticket prices start at $250.
