New Pecan Resist Flavor from Ben & Jerry's Supports Valley-Based Media Platform

BEN & JERRY'S
  • Ben & Jerry's

We get it. It's a week from the midterm elections, people are mailing bombs to critics, gun violence is as pervasive as ever and work to endure has you reaching for ice cream.

But you can still keep up the good fight by reaching for Ben & Jerry's Pecan Resist small batch flavor.

The Vermont-based creamery released notes on the new flavor that's made up of chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts and fudge-covered almonds.
"We can peacefully resist the Trump administration’s regressive and discriminatory policies and build a future that values inclusivity, equality, and justice for people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, refugees, and immigrants. Pecan Resist supports four organizations that are working on the front lines of the peaceful resistance, building a world that supports their values."

Pecan Resist supports Color of Change, Honor the Earth, Women's March and Neta, one of the "fastest-growing independent media platforms led by people of color along the Texas-Mexico border." The Rio Grande Valley-based Neta, launched on January 19, 2017 (the day before the inauguration of 45), is fiscally sponsored by the Progress Texas Institute.

Pecan Resist is currently available in select scoop shops and online at benjerry.com.
