Nina Diaz to Play Bang Bang Bar With Selena Tribute Band Bidi Bidi Banda

  • Via Facebook, NIna Diaz

Attention all Nina Diaz and Girl In A Coma Fans: the front woman of both SA projects will play a set at the Bang Bang Bar along with Austin’s Selena Tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda on Saturday, April 22.

The singer/guitarist will take the stage to play tracks off her solo record The Beat Is Dead and told the Current that she might throw in a Girl In A Coma song.

“I do like to play [Bang Bang Bar] when I can and since it’s so last minute it’s just gonna be me and my loop pedal” said Diaz. According to Diaz, that's sort of how she began her solo career, mentioning a December solo tour in 2013 where toured with Anthony Raneri, the lead singer of New York City-based ban Bayside.

Amidst planning for her October wedding to drummer Jorge Gonzalez, Diaz is gearing up for an upcoming east coast tour in June, a west coast tour in July, and is working on new music with Girl In A Coma, with plans to start recording a new record by the end of the year. Whew! And we thought our schedule was hectic.
