Holy lampoonery, Batman! Charles Ross is touring the country with his one-man parody of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, an irreverent pantomimic take on the grittiest iteration of Batman in film (sorry not sorry, Batfleck). One Man Dark Knight is simple — no costumes, no set pieces, and certainly no bat-themed vehicular transportation. Just a man, on stage, rendering all character voices and sound effects live. In less than the runtime of one of the films, Ross will wend his way from Bruce’s tutelage under Ra’s al Ghul to Bane’s unintelligible utterances, with lots of laughs, geeky jokes, and gravelly proclamations against villains both large and small along the way.
