One of San Antonio's top car collectors is selling his home, and its garage is museum-worthy

Holt Companies Executive Vice President Larry Mills isn't just a gearhead when it comes to construction equipment. The San Antonio businessman also restores American muscle cars from the '50s and ’60s, some of which he acquired with price tags as high as $250,000, according to a 2019 Express-News profile.

Mills and his wife recently put their expansive Terrell Hills home on the market for $3.9 million, and it should come as little surprise that its 3,200-square-foot detached garage is as tricked out as the cars he collects.

A sales listing for the home describes the climate-controlled four-car garage as a "museum-style showcase" with Chicago-style red brick walls. The space also includes a mechanic shop's lift and a showroom full of art, memorabilia and — of course — renovated autos. Those who don't turn wrenches in their spare time could always turn the structure into additional living or office space, the listing notes.

Given its price tag, the rest of the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home is nothing to sneeze at either. In addition to a tile roof, wooden-beamed ceilings and a dining room that can seat 12, the Spanish-style hacienda includes a fountain-fed swimming pool and a bocce ball area.
