Paint the Park!

The second annual Paint the Park! brings together San Antonio artists to capture the landscape and historic features of Brackenridge Park. This event fulfills one of the goals of the Brackenridge Park Conservancy, which is to raise awareness of Brackenridge Park through special programing that is free and open to the public. Recognized San Antonio artists will set up their easels in the north area of the park and paint scenes of the San Antonio River, Water Works Pump House #1, Bath House, Berlin Iron Bridge, Joske Pavilion and more. Artwork will be exhibited and available for purchase in the Brackenridge Park Conservancy Office after the event. Bilingual spokesperson Dr. Ricardo Romo, Brackenridge Park Conservancy Advisory Board Member, is curator of Paint the Park! Dr. Romo, who is also an artist, has a passion for both the work of local artists and Brackenridge Park.
