Palo Alto College Indigenous Peoples Day/Día de la Raza Ceremony
When: Mon., Oct. 9, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. 2017
Palo Alto College celebrates Indigenous Peoples Day to honor the important role that indigenous heritage plays in the city’s historical and cultural makeup. The American Indians in Texas (AIT) will lead a program and drumming circle, focusing on the importance of honoring and maintaining Native American/indigenous cultural identity and practices. A reception with food and refreshments will follow the ceremony. This event is free and open to the public.
