Patio Andaluz Reunion

When: Sun., Feb. 21, 7 p.m. 2016
Price: $29.50-$74.50
Patio Andaluz Reunion celebrates, with the oldest teenagers in San Antonio, a night to remember featuring an array of fabulous 60’s performers from San Antonio. The event is set as a traditional afternoon performance in an intimate setting at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. For many San Antonio Mexican-Americans attending Patio Andaluz was a social and cultural sanctuary from the late 50s to the mid 70s. Back in the day, this was a meeting place for teens of diverse backgrounds to express their individuality. Patio Andaluz was considered the epicenter for dancing, dating and listening to local bands, artists and acts — sharing the homegrown vibe at every touch point. San Antonio music ventured far beyond the city with acts like Sunny and the Sunglows, Doug Sahm, the Royal Jesters and more. While the physical landmark no longer stands the memories of nostalgia live on forever.
